Problems with flights in UK
September 28, 2008
A technical problem at the national air traffic control centre yesterday saw departures and arrivals at scores of UK airports affected.
British Airways canceled more than a dozen flights Friday following an air traffic control computer glitch a day earlier. Budget airline Ryanair also reported some residual flight delays Friday.
The computer problem happened Thursday afternoon at a control center outside London run by air traffic control company Nats. The problem resulted in a restriction of the number of planes entering British airspace.
